Email not sending from 'reset lost password' tutorial

Hi, I am following the activation key tutorial : http://www.plus2net.com/php_tutorial/php-membership2.php

The registration system works really well, however when I test the forgot password routine, it displays the correct message: 'Your password is posted to your email...etc' however, I do not ever receive the email. I would appreciate if anyone could help! Many thanks!
